Postpartum Fitness Program

In early 2020, fitness creator, mother, bodybuilder, and personal trainer Jordan Musser posted a photo of herself breastfeeding at a bodybuilding competition on Instagram that went viral. An audience of naysayers, supporters, and medical professionals quickly took sides on whether it was healthy or appropriate for a mother to breastfeed a baby while competing in an extreme fitness competition one year after childbirth.

Seeing an opportunity to serve young mothers who supported her lifestyle, Jordan asked me to design an online fitness course that would help postpartum mothers repair their core and get mobile again. We developed a 12-week fitness course with exercise demo videos. When our program was ready, Jordan submitted an article about her experience to HuffPost and made television interview appearances. Reactions to the article drew more attention, and over 50 mothers signed up for our course. The experience of launching this program laid a foundation for Jordan to develop more personal training products in the future.

Here is a compilation of exercise demo videos from the course:

I produced, shot, and edited videos for the program. Utilizing Adobe XD, I designed mock screens for a landing page and product page to test different image treatments and copy. Ultimately, we hosted our course using Teachable, and I set up a custom URL, developed the web pages, and published the course.
